About our team

Nicole Schwan, MA, LPCC

My name is Nicole, and I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. You have found a place where you will be welcomed and valued. My office is a soft place to land and to be truly known and heard sometimes for the very first time. It’s also a space for real processing, discovery, healing, and growth. I’m here to support you as you express and explore how to move towards healing and as you work toward your goals. I’m so glad you’re here.

To give you a better idea of who I am personally, I am a Christian, a wife to my high school sweetheart, a mom to our three kids and son-in-law, the owner of a marginally obedient aging goldendoodle, a daughter, sister, and friend. For any of my fellow personality test type folks, I’m an Enneagram 1 and a Myers-Briggs ISFJ. I have an undergraduate degree from Indiana University, a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati, and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Cornerstone University. I’ve moved over a dozen times in my life, but I always seem to wind up back in Cincinnati. I love it here! In my free time, you can find me reading, cooking and sharing a meal with someone, or spending time with my family…we love being outside and playing games.

Erin Sprang, MA, LPC

My name is Erin, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor.  As your therapist, I will work to deeply understand you, your circumstances, your strengths, and your challenges. Through our work together, I will walk alongside you to help validate your emotions and experiences and to nurture you in your own journey of self-empowerment and emotional wellness.

I have worked with children, adolescents, and their parents as a teacher, reading specialist, and school administrator for a total of eighteen years! It was these relationships that showed me the impact that mental health can have on a person’s life, and it was these relationships that ultimately led me to counseling.  Through my work as a counselor, I have had the benefit of seeing how therapy can transform a person’s life.  Therapy can help us make sense of even the most challenging circumstances, can build confidence and self-esteem, and can help us create the life we want to have for ourselves. Therapy can lead us to the happier, richer, and more fulfilling lives that we deserve.

It is an honor and a privilege to deeply know someone and walk through life’s challenges with them.  I love the work that I do, but counseling isn’t my only love! I am a wife to my wonderful husband, a mother to three beautiful daughters, and enjoy nightly walks with our teddy bear dog, Eddie.  My Christian faith has taught me to see the best in others, how to be authentically present in my relationships, and to seek first to understand. And though I’m not a Cincinnati native, Cincinnati has become our home.  I first moved to the greater Cincinnati area when I attended Miami University for my undergraduate degree.  My love of learning led me to obtain a Master’s in Reading Instruction and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both from Xavier.  When I am not at work, you can usually find me on a soccer sideline or gymnastics meet, reading a book, or connecting with family and friends.
